Why you should apply for USA Student Visa?USA Student Visa

USA Student Visa is one of the most popular student visa for overseas students.  Studying in the United States and abroad doesn’t just give you tangible degrees and certificates. For any international student, the USA has a lot to offer: one of the most prestigious, top ranked higher education systems in the world, eclectic cities and beautiful natural parks, culture, history and a very multicultural population.

Academic Excellence

The United States has one of the world’s finest university systems. The university system in the USA is the most popular higher education destination anywhere in the world. In fact over 30% (500,000) of all International students worldwide choose to study in the USA every year. According to the QS World University Rankings, 13 of the top 20 universities in the world are in the USA.

Quality Education

The United States has more institutions of higher learning than any other country in the world. Importantly, the academic bodies provide absolute quality education. Study programs are tuned to the current scenario at all times. Quality of research is excellent and the facilities available to bring your research to the market are exceptional. The research at many of these universities is cutting-edge and often published in journals worldwide. USA has always been a hub of inventions and Universities play a significant role in the change process.

Diversity and Variety

The United States offers variety. There is a wide range of schools, countless areas of study and specialty degrees. If you are interested in studying business, you are not relegated to just general study, but can choose from many concentrations: accounting, marketing, international business, business management, business administration, or finance. (There are many more!) This type of specialty study is available at the undergraduate, graduate and doctorate level, too.

Academic Flexibility

A broad and diverse range of degree programs on offer with innovative and encapsulating approaches to bringing the best out of its students. The USA education system is flexible in terms of choice of courses within a college or university. During the course of study, a student can transfer from one course/stream to another or one institution to another. This aspect of the USA education system makes it distinct from other countries.

Good career prospects

On completion of your degree, you are legally authorized to work in the US in your related field for about a year. You need to apply for Optional Practical Training Employment Authorization (OPT). Most international students get inducted into the company that hires them during their OPT period, by sponsoring their H1-B or work visa. Things you must consider before and while processing your Student Visa Application through an Agent

Information about agent selection for  student visa and scholarships

  1. At the very first stage you should check whether the education consultant is Authorized Agent by your desired Institution. It is always helpful and beneficial to process your entire application through education consultants. Experienced education consultants certainly can help you in obtaining university admission, scholarship, visa, etc. They also able to help you after visa in different ways
  2. Consider whether the agent is well qualified and have the sufficient capability to handle your entire Application.
  3. You must not pay any cash amount to the agent as for advance tuition fees before or after visa. No agent is authorized by the respective university to take cash on behalf of the university. Furthermore, as per Bangladesh Bank’s strict rules and regulation, no person can transfer any amount of money to abroad. You can only give the Bank Draft to the agent which is payable only to the University. However, you might need to pay a small amount of money to the agent as for file opening charge, DHL charge, Application Fees (if required), etc. Please note that most of the students are being cheated by those agents who take cash money.
  4. If you are required to pay advance tuition fees before visa to confirm your place, you must do so by Wire Transfer or Banker’s Draft. Before you send Bank Draft to the University or college, make sure whether it is a University or public funded college or private college. Try to avoid sending Bank Draft/Wire Transfer as for advance tuition fee to the private colleges except few private colleges which have strong establishment. In most circumstances, usually private colleges do not refund money in case of visa refusal.
  5. Make sure you have strong financial sponsorship. Approximately, 90% from the refused students get visa refusal due to financial sponsorship. You must not take any financial sponsorship support from any education consultants. In most cases, usually agent produces forge bank statements.
  6. You must not contract with any education consultant for student visa. Please note that no education consultancy firm can contract with any High Commission regarding student visa. If you can satisfy all the requirements required in obtaining student visa, you will get it. Unless otherwise, you will not.
  7. Make sure your statement of purpose, visa application form is well written which clearly demonstrate you precise intention in selecting the course, in choosing the University, your future plan, etc. Please note that if your intention to study abroad is unclear or vague, you are highly unlikely to satisfy the entry clearance officer in obtaining the student visa.
  8. If you are being called for interview, take good preparation about the possible questions that you might have to face.
  9. Make sure that the counselor is taking personal care in making your University Application, Visa Application, etc. Try to share all the information and documents with the counselors. Things that are unimportant or irrelevant to you, might be very helpful in obtaining Scholarship, Admission, even Student Visa, e.g. extra-curricular activities, publication, etc.
  10. Try not to pay any service charge to the Education Consultants, because, in most of the cases Education Consultants get commission from the partner universities. However, if you would like to process your entire application at your desired university with whom Education Consultants does not have any agreement or universities like UBC, Toronto, UCL, MIT, etc who do not recruit students through Agent, you might need to pay service charge. Make sure to make an agreement in this regard.
  11. Be smart, think positive, try to know everything – no one will be able to cheat with you ever. Never try to be over-smart, never try to cheat with the Education Consultants, University and Embassy. All of them are smarter than you.

Entry requirements

Before start your visa application preparation check if you meet all of the entry requirements.

English language requirements

If your 1st language is not English or you didn’t study a minimum of 5 years where learning medium was English, you may need to provide results of an English language test. Be aware that the English language skill level required by an institution can be different from the level of skill required for your student visa application. You should  check student visa information on both the Department of Immigration and Border Protection   website and the institution website for any English language requirements.

Academic requirements

The academic requirements (including evidence of English language skills) you need to study in Australia will depend on the area of education you want to study here. Institutions might have different entry requirements, so read the course information on their website and contact them if required .

Here is some general guidance on entry requirements for the different levels of study:

  • English language  ( IELTS ) – Entry requirements vary between institutions, and according to the level of English language course you want to study.
  • Schools – Entry requirements vary between schools depending on the state or territory you will be studying in. Academic performance and ability is considered during the application process.
  • Vocational education and training – In most cases there are no entrance exams for VET institutions. However, some courses may have specific pre-requisite subjects or work experience requirements.
  • Higher Education Undergraduate – To gain entry into an Australian undergraduate course you will need to have an Australian Senior Secondary Certificate of Education (Year 12), or the overseas equivalent. Some undergraduate courses may also have specific pre-requisite subjects.
  • Higher Education Postgraduate – As well as the satisfactory completion of at least one degree at undergraduate level, your institution may take research ability or relevant work experience into consideration.

Tip: To meet the academic requirements of an Australian high school qualification, consider  a Foundation course to create bridge with previous study, they are intensive courses that will help you meet the entry requirements. Most of them one year long and are offered by most higher education institutions.
